Sir Mo Farrah
The legend that is Sir Mo Farrah, took the atheletics world by storm, winning time and time again, breaking world records, and one of our best olympians has run his last competitive race. And he chose to run it HERE in the northeast, at the one and only Great North Run.
He managed to run a very respectable 4th place, against some fierce competition, and he was cheered on by the thousands of spectators who had come, it seemed, only to see Mo. He repaid them by crossing back over the finnish line, and stopping for selfies, and a chat.

He was not the only runner in the race however, he was followed by over 50,000 other runners and he came in behind these three fabulous fellas,
The fastest women were there too, completing 13.1 miles in just over an hour!!! WOW!!!
