The Tog Blog

                                 With

          Heather Laurence Photography

Blogging, rambling, chatting, or just somewhere to rant.  Here is where it is.

A place to keep up to date with what is going on in my world.

Time for a catch up.

It has been a wee while since I last caught up with you all and boy has it been a busy one.

The last few months have seen me 1.6 miles deep and 6.1 miles out under the north sea, when I got the chance to explore ICL Boulby mine in North Yorkshire.  To say I had butterflies was a bit of an understatement, but it was worth every one.

There are loads of images from my day under the sea on our editorial page, and also a huge feature in the Oct-Nov issue of Focus On The North East Magazine.

A trip to Holy Island had us watching the unearthing of sleletal remains by archaeologists, and wandering around the most amazing lime kilns.

We asked for volunteers who could sign with British Sign Language, but no one came forward, so both Peter and I took and introduction to BSL course, and plan to advance our education when funds allow.

I celebrated 7 years as a FELLOW of the Royal Society of Public Health

and our little magazine allowed me to meet the criteria to become a member of the Chartered Institute of Journalists, which was fab!

There was so much more to let you all know, but why not just pop over to the magazine page linked above and read all about it for yourselves!

Please remember to give us a like, a share and if you can, support us via our Go Fund Me page or simply buy us a coffee.

We don't get an income from the magazine, so we rely soley upon the support of you guys to keep us going, the more support you give us, the more fab images and stories, people and places we can bring you.

We are also always looking for places to visit and also some interesting, or famous folk of the region to chat to, so any suggestions or introductions are happily  recieved.

Lots in the planning stages for the next couple of months too, so the new year is promising to be an exciting one.

Please remember that I am also available for photography workshops, talks, seminars and coaching.
